Call centre jobs boost for town
About 200 jobs are to be created with the expansion of one of the biggest call centres in the UK.

The Co-operative Bank said it will need the extra staff by the end of the year to cope with increased demand.

It is the largest employer in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, with 1,000 people working in the telephone banking operation at Delf House.

The move bucks a recent UK trend for call centre jobs to be transferred abroad to countries such as India.
