The bull's antics were captured on CCTV cameras |
A bull's rampage through a Lancashire china shop has been remembered with a sculpture of the animal. Owners of GB Antiques and Furnishings, in Lancaster, have unveiled a life-size fibreglass structure to remind customers of the incident earlier this year.
A woman was injured by the bull as it was caught on security cameras destroying thousands of pounds worth of goods in May.
The bull - which was later shot dead by a police marksman - got into the store after escaping from a local auction.
CCTV footage of the incident made international news and the owner Allan Blackburn appeared on TV stations across the world.
Public danger
The woman had to be taken to hospital after she sustained a bruised shoulder during the rampage.
It was not until nearly three hours after the bull entered the shop that it was shot, after having been locked inside one of the showrooms.
At the time Mr Blackburn said the incident could have been much more serious.
He said: "We managed to contain the situation well. If it had happened three hours later we would probably have had over 1,000 people in the centre.
"As it was we had only just opened, so there was probably only about two dozen people in here at the time."
A police spokesman said the decision to shoot the bull was made because of the danger to the public posed by the situation.
