Royal visitor joins carers' holiday
The Princess Royal
The Princess will make a speech to the carers
The Princess Royal has met hundreds of carers on a seaside break in Lancashire.

Princess Anne lends her name to the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, which provides help and support to people who look after others voluntarily.

The princess visited the carers at the Pontins holiday centre in Blackpool on Wednesday, as part of National Carers Week.

The trust announced on Tuesday that a carers' centre is to be set up in Blackpool in the autumn.

The princess was also expected to visit the Princes Theatre to watch part of a special gala cabaret performance, and to make a speech to carers at the event.
