Children in Kent are being warned how they can avoid being groomed by internet paedophiles when they surf the internet during the summer holidays. Cyber safety is one of the issues raised in a police leaflet on personal safety handed out to 12,000 youngsters.
The initiative in Swale is part of the force's Safer Summer campaign and also covers how to avoid becoming a victim of crime, and the dangers of drugs.
Youth Crime Reduction officer Anne Jones said safety was paramount.
"I think it's very important for everybody, no matter how old you are, to make sure you are safe," she said.
