Homes without water after burst
Water tap
Homes began losing their water supplies on Saturday evening
Up to 75 homes in a Kent town have been left without water because of a deep underground burst.

People living in the area surrounding Gorse Road and Bracken Road, Tunbridge Wells began losing their supply at 2000 GMT on Saturday.

South East Water said their engineers were trying to locate the leak which they believed was a deep mains pipe.

The company started delivering bottled water to the homes affected by the burst on Sunday morning.

A spokeswoman for South East Water said: "This is an unusual burst main as it is not showing itself to us. Two inspectors having been working all night but obviously still can't locate the leak."

She said they would continue to search for the burst pipe and hoped to restore supplies by Sunday evening.
