A man who dumped a three-year-old greyhound in a bin bag under trees in Kent is being sought by the RSPCA. A walker saw the man dump the bag in a field off Balmoral Road in Sutton at Hone on Friday. It died minutes later.
The light-brindle coloured dog had cuts and bruises on its legs but a vet found no obvious cause of death.
The man is aged about 40, with dark hair and was wearing dark trousers and a light coloured jumper. Anyone with information should contact the RSPCA.
'�5,000 fine'
After dumping the bag on the waste ground the man drove off in a small dark estate car.
Insp Teresa Potter, from the RSPCA, said the dog had no microchip, tattoo or ear tag to identify her.
She added: "We do not yet know why she died and why she was dumped here.
"Anyone leaving an animal like this can face prosecution for abandoning an animal in circumstances likely to cause suffering and can face a fine of up to �5,000 and up to six months in prison."
