An 83-year-old man from north Kent has died following a collision between four cars on the A2 near Dartford.

Kent Police said the accident happened at 11.20pm on Tuesday after reports his Toyota car had been driving the wrong way along the coastbound carriageway.

The motorist was taken to the Darent Valley Hospital after the collision between Bean and the M25 junction. He died early on Wednesday.

Officers said no-one else was injured in the accident.
