Alan Hollingsworth, 19, of Dorset Road, Bexhill, is accused of robbing the McDonald's at the Ravenside Retail Park in Bexhill on 29 September.

Mr Hollingsworth appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Monday, where he did not enter a plea.

He was remanded in custody until 17 December when he is next due to appear in court.
