Home-grown Kent produce is being used to make curry and Chinese food at a food fest in Canterbury this weekend. The British Food Festival has attracted traders from as far away as Snowdonia in Wales, and Cornwall.
Stall holders are running events to celebrate the multi-culturalism of British food, city centre manager Philip Esclasse said.
Food events started on Saturday and will continue on Sunday at the Dane John Gardens in the cathedral city.
Passion for Britain
Mr Esclasse told BBC Radio Kent: "We've got restaurants demonstrating really good Chinese and Indian food.
"We tend to forget that many of these places, and certainly the top restaurants, use local produce.
"Whether it is meat, or fruit or vegetables, they source their products in Kent, or certainly the South East."
He said he was a French-born person who wanted to share his passion for Britain and British food.
