Police bikers crackdown continues
Police called out to deal with reports of "nuisance" off-road motorcyclists seized a suspected stolen bike.

Officers in the Medway area of Kent have been targeting off-road bikers in Operation Inact since August.

In the latest incident in Roots Wood on Sunday, three warnings were issued to bikers and two youths were arrested on suspicion of taking the stolen bike.

Police have seized nine bikes, five of them suspected as stolen, and a car since the start of the operation.

Disqualified driver

Police said the aims of Operation Inact are to improve the quality of life for residents living in affected areas; to gather intelligence on individuals involved; and to deal with any actual offences.

Since the operation began, as well as seizing vehicles, officers have issued 79 warnings and had 18 offenders reported for summons.

Four people have been arrested for taking a motor vehicle and making off from police and one disqualified driver has been arrested.
