People will start paying the revised council tax bills in April |
People living in Kent look set to face an annual council tax bill of 1,147 for a Band D property - slightly below the likely national average. Kent County Council has increased its share of the tax by 5.2% so an average household will pay the authority 845.
The police force increased its share by 11.3% to 105 and the fire service share rose by 6.7% to 55.
These figures are added to the amount individual district councils want to create the final figure.

Shepway District Council has announced the biggest tax increase of 39% which compares to the council in Dartford which has set its increase at 2.5%.
Medway, which is the only unitary authority, has the lowest council tax bill at 1,028 with Tunbridge Wells residents also paying a low amount of 1,095.
But householders in Shepway face paying the most in Kent for the second year in a row with an average bill of 1,247 expected.
Many councils in Kent have said the increases are necessary because they have not received enough money from the government.
They say that despite the low grants they have to pay for more services, a claim which ministers deny.
The local government minister has warned no double figure increases in council tax should be needed and has warned it may cap authorities which impose big rises.
Homeowners will have to start paying the revised amounts at the start of the next financial year in April.
