Anger over gas bill mix up
Chris Jennings
Mr Jennings said the situation has been going on since 1998
A man from Kent is angry because a gas company kept demanding payment for a supply he never used.

Chris Jennings from Dover said he had been bombarded with bills from gas firm Npower.

He was sent a final demand for nearly 1,000 and was also sent a letter threatening to cut him off, Mr Jennings said.

The situation between Mr Jennings and the gas firm has been going on for about six years.

Good will gesture

Since 1998 he said he had sent the company evidence that he had never had gas from them.

Mr Jennings said: "We just wanted it to go away but it hasn't gone away it keeps coming back.

"Every time they say it has been sorted out it comes back all the time."

In a statement Npower said the matter was now resolved and as a gesture of good will they would compensate Mr Jennings for any expenses incurred.

But Mr Jennings said he had yet to receive an apology or any compensation.
