Warning over contaminated heroin
Heroin
Police have not said what effects the heroin could have on users
Police in Kent have issued a warning over a batch of contaminated heroin on sale in the county.

Officers have said anyone who thinks they may have taken some of the affected drugs should get medical help.

They said they were anxious to warn anyone who had bought any of the heroin about the potential dangers.

Police have not said how the heroin has been contaminated or what effects it might have on anyone who uses it.

They said it was possibly being sold in the Medway area but could also have been spread to other parts of Kent.

Detective Inspector Jackie Luckhurst said: "I would not wish to alarm people unnecessarily but if anyone thinks they may have taken some of this batch they are urged to seek medical advice as a precaution."
