Supporters can pay 1,000 to take advantage of the life ticket |
Fans of a football club in Kent are being given the chance of buying a ticket for life.
Margate Football Club is offering 100 life membership season tickets for deluxe seats in the main stand at its ground.
The scheme has been launched to mark the start of the redevelopment of the club's ground which was essential for the team to stay in the conference league.
Supporters will have to pay 1,000 for the tickets but they will be able to watch matches for the rest of their lives.
'Absolute priority'
Club chairman, Jim Parmenter, said: "We have decided to initiate this scheme in celebration of our new development.
"We believe the limited availability will appeal to our regular fan base.
"As well as being extremely attractive financially, members will have their own deluxe seat in the main stand for life.
"Special events will be organised and holders will have absolute priority for their seats for cup games."
Plans for a new 6,000 seater stadium for the club at Hartsdown Park were given the go ahead in April.
The club needed to improve its playing surface and stadium to meet the league requirements by the start of next season.
The development will see a full sized grass pitch, an artificial pitch and car parking built.
