Man 'downloaded porn at library'
A man was caught using a computer at his public library to download child pornography from the internet, a court has heard.

James Peck, 23, formerly of Dr Hope Road, Cranbrook, was arrested outside Tunbridge Wells Library with the floppy discs containing the offending material.

Peck pleaded guilty to 10 counts of making indecent images of children and 10 of possessing them at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday.

After his computer was seized in April last year, 340 indecent pictures were found.

Then in September, while on bail, Peck was spotted using a computer at Tunbridge Wells Library to look at some of the images.

He was freed under a three-year community rehabilitation order after a judge heard that he had served nine months in custody on remand.

Judge McKinnon imposed the order with a condition that Peck attended a sex offender programme.
