A bar in Bridlington wants permission to serve drinks until the early hours of the morning. Loop, on the town's Esplanade, has applied to East Riding Council to be allowed to stay open until 0300 on Friday and Saturday nights.
Humberside Police are opposing the move, saying it could lead to more late night disturbances.
But the owners of the bar say there is a demand for late-night drinking by visitors to the resort.
