Final work on city CCTV network
A city-wide network of surveillance cameras, due to be switched on in Hull, should be fully operational next month.

Some 140 new cameras are already in place covering residential and shopping streets.

But it will take until the end of April to plug them into the network at the rate of eight a day.

When finished, the full network will have 490 cameras keeping an eye on the city through a central control centre.
