Two men held over fake bank notes
Two men have been arrested by police in Grimsby in connection with forged bank notes being circulated in the area.

The men were arrested on Bargate and officers are checking a quantity of bank notes recovered at the scene.

Residents in Cleethorpes had been alerted to a large quantity of forged 20 notes being passed in pubs and clubs last weekend.

Humberside Police say the notes found in Cleethorpes were of a reasonable quality, but unusually bright.

Some of the colouring on the notes is said to look "washed out" and the Queen's picture is slightly distorted.

Police say some of the notes may still be in circulation in the area.

The men, aged 35 and 38, were arrested at The Wheatsheaf pub.
