The Grand National winning horse and trainer have been welcomed home by more than 1,000 people.

Herefordshire-based Venetia Williams and her horse, Mon Mome, appeared at Hereford racecourse on Wednesday.

Miss Williams said Saturday's shock 100-1 victory by jockey Liam Treadwell on her horse had been "fantastic".

She said: "We won the double at Cheltenham on Thursday which I thought was the pinnacle, but there's no pinnacle beyond the Grand National."
