A motorist who died when his car was washed away by floods in Worcestershire was a county court judge. Eric Dickinson, 68, who was also the vice-chairman of Lie and Bransford Parish Council, was found with his submerged vehicle near Pershore.
A search was launched after he phoned his wife to say his car was being swept away by the water.
Judge Dickinson was between Pershore railway station and Drakes Broughton when he called.

The car was found on Tuesday evening in nearby Walcot Lane and police divers discovered the body inside.
Insp Steve Brooker said Judge Dickinson was thought to have been making his way from Evesham to Worcester when the accident happened.
"The car apparently entered a ford or flooding and was dragged off the road by the force of the water," he said.

His eldest son William said: "He was well known for the way in which he was able to defuse tense situations in court between opposite parties, using humour and pathos while maintaining everyone's dignity.
"Away from his legal work, he never had any spare time because of his involvement in family, Rotary, the church and other interests."
He gave his time unselfishly to others, his son said.
