Houses hit by lightning strikes
Twelve homes in Herefordshire have been hit by lightning.

The housing association owned properties in the Tudorville area of Ross-on-Wye were struck on Thursday afternoon. No-one was hurt.

A Met Office spokesman said lightning strikes were "random" although electrical equipment ccould influence where they hit.

More thunderstorms and heavy downpours were expected across the West Midlands on Friday, the Met Office confirmed.

On Thursday, residents in part of Warwickshire reported seeing a tornado during thunderstorms in the county.
