The Noble Chafer is to have its habitat saved after the Cleeve Prior Heritage Trust were given help to buy rare orchards by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

A grant of �16,500 from the fund will enable them to purchase 2.5 acres of traditional orchards as a community orchard.

Dr Don Warren from the trust said finding the unusual bug was a surprise.
