The survival of an endangered beetle has been secured after being discovered in the Vale of Evesham. The Noble Chafer is to have its habitat saved after the Cleeve Prior Heritage Trust were given help to buy rare orchards by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
A grant of �16,500 from the fund will enable them to purchase 2.5 acres of traditional orchards as a community orchard.
Dr Don Warren from the trust said finding the unusual bug was a surprise.
