Workers at Sequani in Ledbury said they had been targeted while coming and going from the site.

Bosses fear they could become the target for people which forced a Staffordshire guinea pig farm to close.

A spokeswoman from Stop Sequani Animal Tests confirmed peaceful protests outside the site were ongoing.

The Animal Liberation Front said it was quite possible that its campaigners may have damaged the property of people associated with Sequani.

Protect staff

The owners and people associated with Darley Oaks Farm in Newchurch, Staffordshire, were subjected to six years of death threats, hate mail, malicious phone calls, hoax bombs and arson attacks.

Sequani carries out tests on animals to assess the safety of a wide range of healthcare products.

In a statement, Sequani said it welcomed government moves to protect their staff and has confidence the police will act accordingly.
