A Herefordshire town has adopted a touch of Hollywood after erecting its own Tinseltown sign on the hillside. Kington in Herefordshire has placed huge 20ft white letters depicting its name on nearby Bradnor Hills.
The sign will be on display for the next six weeks to celebrate a movie theme for Kington Festival Association's annual event.
Committee chairman Niki Scott said the sign, which took half an hour to erect, was held up with scaffolding.
"The letters were like huge jigsaw pieces which had to be fitted together and then hoisted into place," he added.
The sign was created by artist David Eveleigh who was behind another special effect to show King Kong swinging from the town's clock tower.
