Woman treated for Legionnaires'
An investigation is under way into how a pensioner from north Worcestershire caught Legionnaires' disease.

The 67-year-old woman is being treated for the illness at The Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.

Redditch and Bromsgrove Primary Care Trust are waiting for the incubation period of two weeks before an outbreak is ruled out.

The disease is a form of pneumonia which can only be spread through contaminated water systems.

Legionnaires' disease cannot be passed from person to person.
