Village mixes pints with post
Postman
The village has been without a post office since last March

A Worcestershire village will see the opening of its new post office in an unusual location - the local pub.

Residents of Callow End have been without a post office since the previous one closed in March last year.

However a new post office will now be based in The Blue Bell Inn following months of negotiations with the brewery, the district council and the Royal Mail.

The pub has had a room converted with its own entrance and a garage has been turned into a sorting room.

Work is currently on-going to have the post office ready for the beginning of August, with an official opening planed for 11 August.
