A fisherman has been left with a repair bill for thousands of pounds after thugs wrecked his boat and gear, setting more than 30 lobsters free. Jonathan Lander's boat was moored at Chapman's Pool, Purbeck, Dorset, when it was broken into on 13 June.
The same night, red paint was poured over four more lobster pots in his front garden in nearby Worth Matravers.
It is the second time the 42-year-old, whose family has fished the same waters for generations, has been targetted.
In May, his fishing boat, boathouse and about 50 lobster pots were vandalised on the slipway at Chapman's Pool.
In the most recent incident, the boat's engine and electrics were left badly damaged.
Pc Jonathan Maunder, of Swanage police, said: "Damage has not only been caused to Mr Lander's property but also to his livelihood as a fisherman.
"Someone somewhere - perhaps several people - knows or suspects who has been responsible for this spate of wanton vandalism.
"To anyone who has information that could help my investigation, I would say please come forward as soon as possible for the sake of the Lander family."
