The herd is worth about �20,000

The animals are largely nocturnal and weigh up to 150 kilos (about 331 pounds).

Since their escape from the farm near Bridport last weekend, there have been more than 50 sightings of them.

The herd is valued at more than �20,000 and the owner has warned anyone who encounters the boars not to approach them.

Wild boar must be kept under licence under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976 (amended 1984), to ensure proper measures are in place to stop the animals escaping.
