Three primary school pupils in Hampshire have developed full-blown tuberculosis (TB) after their teacher was found to have the disease. The 11-year-olds from Portsdown Primary School in Portsmouth are now being treated with antibiotics.
None of them are thought to be contagious.
Last week 36 children at the school tested postive for the TB virus, but it has been confirmed that only three have developed the disease.
Tuberculosis attacks the respiratory system and can be fatal if untreated.
