Police are hunting an arsonist who destroyed tens of thousands of pounds worth of motorbikes and scooters in a shop. A man had to be rescued from a flat above Mr Moped in Columbia Road, Bournemouth, during the fire, which broke out at about 0100 GMT on Wednesday.
Flames completely gutted the shop and smoke severely damaged the flat above, although the resident was unhurt.
The premises have been cordoned off while scenes-of-crime officers and fire investigators examine the area.
Dorset police are treating the fire as an arson attack and have urged witnesses to call them or Crimestoppers anonymously.
Detective Sergeant Nick Wilkinson from Bournemouth CID said: "Witnesses heard a bang and then a car drive off shortly before the fire started, so if you saw or heard anything suspicious at that time in Columbia Road, please ring us.
"The man in the flat could easily have been seriously hurt, and its very important that I find those responsible."
