Man in court over Hannah killing
Hannah Foster
Hannah was killed after a night out in Southampton
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder, kidnap and rape of teenager Hannah Foster four years ago.

Maninder Pal Singh Kohli, 39, who was extradited from India to the UK on Saturday, has been remanded to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Friday.

Mr Kohli also faces charges of manslaughter, false imprisonment, and perverting the course of justice.

Hannah, 17, was killed as she walked home from a night out in Southampton. Her body was found two days later.

A post-mortem examination revealed she had been raped and strangled. Mr Kohli was arrested in July 2004.

There was no application for bail and Mr Kohli did not enter any pleas.

Mr Kohli appeared before magistrates in Southampton on Monday afternoon.
