River oil slick kills two birds
An oil spill on the River Itchen in Southampton has killed two birds, the Environment Agency has revealed.

About 20 birds - mostly swans - have been affected by the slick at Riverside Park on Thursday.

The dead birds were Grebes, said the Environment Agency, which has been dealing with the spill with the RSPCA.

Associated British Ports is trying to establish the source of the pollution. An agency officer was due to return to the scene on Friday morning.
