Cricket star Kevin Pietersen tops the list of people in Hampshire recognised in the Queen's New Year Honours list. The 25-year-old Hampshire batsman has been made an MBE for his part in the historic Ashes victory.
And former football manager Lawrie McMenemy, who is the honorary manager of the Parliamentary football club, has also been honoured in the list.
The former Southampton, Sunderland and Northern Ireland manager has been made an MBE.
