A potentially dangerous psychiatric patient has been found by police nine days after going missing from his ward. Faysal Oumar Diiriye, 32, is being returned to the Department of Psychiatry at the Royal South Hampshire Hospital in Southampton.
He was detained by police in Woolwich, south London, on Thursday afternoon, after absconding on 23 February.
Police had warned the public not to approach Mr Diiriye, who was said to be in good health when he was found.
Det Insp Nigel Oliver said: "I would like to thank members of the public for their vigilance."
