Titanic victim's watch unveiled
Millvina Dean
Millvina Dean was the youngest person to survive the disaster
One of only three living survivors of the Titanic is unveiling a watch worn by a passenger killed in the disaster.

Millvina Dean, 93, from Southampton, was only 10 weeks old when she sailed on the ill-fated ship in April 1912.

On Tuesday, she will unveil the pocket watch of Austin Partner at London Trocadero's Titanic exhibition.

Mr Partner, from Surbiton Hill, Surrey, was travelling to Canada on business. The timepiece, which was found on his body, had stopped at 0225 hours.

The ship actually sunk at 0220 so you can imagine Mr Partner jumped into the water at around 0215 and it stopped shortly afterwards
Darryl Keys

Darryl Keys, managing director of the tourist attraction, said: "Millvina is very physically frail but mentally she is absolutely fantastic.

Mr Keys said other than being a bit rusty the watch was still in fairly good condition.

"The watch stopped at 0225. The ship actually sunk at 0220 so you can imagine Mr Partner jumped into the water at around 0215 and it stopped shortly afterwards," he said.

The watch is on loan to the exhibition from a leading UK collector and will be on display from 22 February.
