Sick baby Charlotte one year old
Baby - anonymous
Charlotte's parents say they will not appeal against the court's ruling
Terminally ill baby Charlotte Wyatt who was the subject of a high profile case earlier this month is one year old.

Her birthday on Thursday comes exactly two weeks after a High Court judge ruled she should not be revived if she stops breathing again.

Baby Charlotte weighed just one pound when she was born 14 weeks premature with serious heart and lung problems.

Her parents, Darren and Debbie Wyatt, from Portsmouth, have said they will not contest the ruling.

Blind and deaf

Debbie Wyatt gave birth to another child, son David, last Wednesday.

Doctors told the court during a two-day hearing last month that Charlotte, who has been in hospital since birth, will not survive beyond infancy because her lungs are so severely damaged.

She is also blind and deaf.

She is fed through a tube as she cannot suck from a bottle and needs a constant supply of oxygen.
