Hundreds of Motown fans were left disappointed after a sat-nav sent a tribute band 140 miles away from the concert venue. About 300 fans - many who had dressed up in 1960's outfits - had gone to see Vicount Oliver's Legendary Four Tops play at Cheltenham Town Hall.
But the US band had been driven to the other side of the country, thanks to their satellite navigation equipment.
It had been set for Chelmsford, Essex, instead of the Gloucestershire town.
Fans were told the night had been cancelled "due to unforeseen circumstances".
Tour manager Alan Frazer said: "Whoever tapped the place into the sat-nav got it wrong.
"They don't know British geography very well because they're American."
Town Hall manager Derek Aldridge, said: "Almost everyone has now had a refund and we're seeing if we can make alternative arrangements for a future concert."
