Sat-nav blamed for stuck lorries

Sat-nav usually takes the shortest route to a destination
Heavy lorries are getting stuck down a country lane in the Forest of Dean after following directions from their satellite navigation systems.

The steep hill between Symmonds Yat Rock and the Wye Valley is only just wide enough to take a small caravan.

Residents say lorry drivers using the gadgets are directed to use it as a short cut to the A40.

They add the lane is blocked up to three times a week, often for as long as three or four hours.
