The Big Brother-style surveillance equipment was introduced on four buses in the Stroud Valley last year after problems caused accidents.

Now the scheme is to be expanded, with three more vehicles fitted with cameras at a cost of �10,000.

The buses will travel on routes around Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bishops Cleeve.

Gloucestershire County Councillor Stan Waddington said: "Where the equipment has been fitted already, a significant reduction in incidents has been noted.
