Entire government hears petition
A 6,000-name petition to save a small Forest of Dean hospital got the full attention of the Prime Minister and entire front bench team in parliament.

The petition against the possible relocation of Cinderford's Dilke hospital was presented to the Commons by local MP Mark Harper on Wednesday.

Unusually, Tony Blair and the whole government were there to hear it.

They were out in force to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Parliamentary Labour Party.

Mr Harper says it proved "very opportune" for the Forest of Dean.
