| Police warned motorists travelling into Stroud on Sunday morning that they faced delays because of the town's half marathon. The annual event was expected to involve around 2,000 runners and police were advising motorists to avoid the town until the afternoon. There were temporary closures on several roads until 1230 BST. They were the A419 Cainscross Road, the B4008 Standish Lane, the Nupend (Grove) Lane and Paganhill Lane.
