Cash reward to tidy town tenants
Tenants in Cheltenham who leave their council homes in good condition when they move out will receive a cash reward in a bid to cut repair costs.

The Empty Homes Rewards scheme plan was launched by the borough council after a number of homes were left in a dirty, run-down condition.

Up to 150 could be paid out to tenants if an inspection shows the house is clean when they leave.

People must give four weeks notice and a forwarding address to qualify.

The scheme is available to all Cheltenham Borough Homes tenants.
