Mobile phone mast emissions in part of Gloucestershire are being monitored and published on a council's website. It is part of a nationwide exercise initiated by Vodafone, following public concerns about health risks.
Equipment to monitor electromagnetic radiation (EMR) has been sited within 300m of a mast in Nailsworth.
The data will be sent to the Stroud District Council website showing total emission levels set against the precautionary health guidelines.
Councillor Nigel Cooper, Cabinet Member for the Environment, said: "Public worry about emissions from mobile phone masts is a very topical subject at the moment and a major concern to some people.
"We feel that the provision of reliable, properly validated data can only aid the public debate. The raw data is there on our website for all to see and draw their own conclusions."
