The woman, from Redmarley, was a passenger in an Audi A4 which crashed at Pauntley near Newent, in the early hours of Saturday.

Another passenger in the car, a 33-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.

The 38-year-old man from Redmarley, was arrested and bailed on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The woman, also from Redmarley, suffered minor injuries in the collision, and is being treated at Gloucester Royal Hospital.
