Acts needed for downsized tattoo
Crowd watching plane at tattoo
The acts will keep the 200,000-strong crowd entertained
Performers are being sought to entertain crowds at the Royal International Air Tattoo.

The tattoo, at RAF Fairford, is Gloucestershire's largest event and should attract 200,000 visitors over the weekend of 17 and 18 July.

Organisers want acts to appear on stage, mingle with the crowds and amuse people queuing for entry.

No payment is offered for the charity, event but it is hoped acts will want to perform before the large crowds.

In February it was announced that this year's show would be scaled down due to operational commitments.

The Defence 2004 exhibition, including air displays by the RAF, was scrapped.

Director of Operations, Tim Prince, said, "Airshow entertainers traditionally perform for charity, and in return they have a great couple of days working with one of the UK's biggest audiences.

"I know that for many this leads to future professional engagements."
