A crucial meeting on Gloucestershire's education review will be a ticketed event because of high public demand. Seventy tickets are on offer for this Friday's debate on the county's sixth forms.
Half the tickets were snapped up on Monday morning and the rest will be available from Shire Hall on the day.
Proposals to close or merge several of the county's secondary schools and shut three sixth forms have been condemned by parents, teachers and local MPs.
Gloucester's 13 schools are all affected by the reforms: three could close, and others would merge or see their sixth forms shut and moved to a central college
The sixth forms at the Vale of Berkeley School, Kingsmead in Cheltenham, and Sir William Romney's in Tetbury have all been recommended for closure.
