Damage to the Victorian windows led to a repair bill of 35,000 |
Security cameras have been installed at Gloucester Cathedral in an effort to deter vandals. Five cameras will monitor visitors to the cathedral, recording high quality video images.
Technicians have attempted to ensure the monitoring equipment is hidden so it does not detract from the architecture in the 900-year-old building.
The cathedral - which was used as a setting for the Harry Potter films - faced a 35,000 repair bill in November last year after 26 stained glass windows were smashed.
No one has been charged in connection with the attack.
A cathedral spokesman said the cameras were designed to protect both the building and its visitors.
