Four schools in Gloucester plan to work together to offer their sixth-form pupils a wider curriculum. The partnership - between Beaufort, Central Technology College, Crypt and Ribston Hall - will allow year 12 and 13 students to chose between 32 A-levels, and a wider variety of other courses.
The move mirrors a similar scheme currently under development in Bristol.
Joy Greenwood, partnership co-ordinator, said: "This means that pupils can keep in contact with the tutors that they know and trust from their secondary schools.
"And at the same time, have access to a curriculum and resources that no one school could provide.
"It gives them flexibility to choose the combination of subjects that they want.
"It also gives the schools the chance to share expertise and good practice."
