Banana skin littering is denied
A driver accused of throwing a banana skin on the floor is being prosecuted by a district council.

Andrew Shepherd, of Braintree, Essex, was given a 50 penalty notice after allegedly dropping the banana skin in the town.

Braintree District Council said it issued a court summons after Mr Shepherd failed to pay the fine.

Mr Shepherd, who has denied any offence, is due to appear before Witham magistrates on 20 October.
