Two charged after teacher attack
Two youths have been charged following an incident at a secondary school in which a 44-year-old geography teacher suffered facial injuries.

The boys, both aged 16 and from Colchester, Essex, are due to appear before Harwich Youth Court next month.

One has been charged with disorderly conduct the other has been charged with causing actual bodily harm.

Seven other boys all aged 15, remain on police bail until 14 February while inquiries continue.

Nine youths were arrested after police were called to St Benedict's College in Colchester on Wednesday.

Officers were called to investigate an allegation that a teacher - named by the school as Dave Deeny - had been attacked after confronting a group of youths on school grounds.

Staff at the school told police that the youths in the group were not pupils at St Benedict's.
